Taco Rice (タコライス)

Although tacos are not as prevalent in Japan as they are in Mexico and the US, taco rice has become a popular dish.  It typically features taco-seasoned ground beef served over rice, often accompanied by tomato, lettuce, cheese, and salsa.  According to the English version of Wikipedia, taco rice originated in 1984 at two cafes near Camp Hansen in Kin, Okinawa Prefecture.
