The Shinto shrine of Suwa Jinja (諏訪神社) is located southeast of Tsujido Station, about a 15-minute walk from the station.

It is said that the shrine was built in 1159 and enshrines the god of Takeminakata-no-Mikoto (建御名方命) and the goddess of Yasakatome-no-Mikoto (八坂刀売命), the deities of Suwa Taisha in Nagano Prefecture.

The shrine building was repaired several times due to damage by fires and earthquakes.  The current building was completed in Jul. 2000 after a 2-year renovation.

This shrine holds the annual festival, Tsujido Suwa Jinja Reitaisai (辻堂諏訪神社例大祭), on July 26 ~ 27 every year.
